PAUL'S SPEED SHOP
Paul Flynn was drag racer who
operated a speed shop in Abilene, Kansas in the 1950's. The speed shop
was located in the lower level of a stone building built by Paul's father.
Paul had great success racing a Hemi powered T-bodied dragster. In 1957
he set a new strip record of 152.80 miles per hour at an AHRA meet in
Great Bend. The prize was a new 1956 Pontiac V-8 which Paul installed
in his Forty Ford Coupe. The Flynn Forty is now owned by gentleman car
collector Roger Morrison.
