Identification of the GT40's in this painting is as follows; 1967 24 Hours of Le Mans participants, Red car number 1, GT40 Mk IV J-5, placed 1st over all driven by Dan Gurney and A.J. Foyt, Gold car number 5, GT 40 Mk 11B 1031, driven Frank Gardner & Roger McCluskey, Blue car number 4, GT40 Mk IV J-8, driven by Lloyd Ruby and Denis Hulme, Copper car number 3, GT40 Mk IV J-7 driven by Mario Andretti and Lucien Bianchi. Yellow car number 1, GT40Mk IV J-4, was the 1967 Sebring winner, driven by Mario Andretti and Bruce McLaren.
