This painting
uses artistic license to combine pieces from several different eras to
commemorate numerous historic events. J. C. "Aggie" Agajanian the colorful
hog farmer and owner of a trash collection business in LA. was a powerful
force in automobile racing all of his life. All of his cars wore the #
98 and none is perhaps more revered than the 270 Offy powered Kuzma dirt
track car which won Indy in 1952 Driven by Troy Ruttman. Aggie was also
the owner of the legendary Ascot Park Speedway. Home to The California
Racing Association, Ascot became an official USAC track when AAA ceased
sanctioning automobile racing in 1956.
