ROADSIDE RELICS

People often ask me if the scenes in my paintings are actual scenes or figments of my imagination. In most cases I combine elements from many photographs that I’ve shot in many different locations to create a scene that tells a story. Landon’s Store (gas station, general store and Post Office) in Stanley, New Mexico was an exception. I moved a few things around to create a better composition but other than that this is what Landon’s Store really looks like!
